CH47 & UH60 Aircraft Mechanic / Inspector – Honduras

About the role

The position involves performing maintenance, modifications and repairs on CH47 and UH60 helicopters, as well as inspecting aircraft to ensure they meet airworthiness standards before operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications and repairs on CH47 and UH60 helicopters.
• Remove, disassemble, inspect, repair or replace engine components such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, pumps and gearboxes.
• Re‑assemble and reinstall engines and other systems, ensuring compliance with technical manuals.
• Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft structures and systems to verify airworthiness before flight.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years aviation maintenance experience plus 2 years on CH47 or UH60 for mechanic roles (or 5 years maintenance and 1 year inspector experience for inspector roles).
• Valid, up‑to‑date FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license (or equivalent experience).
• U.S. citizenship and a valid U.S. passport for facility credentialing.
• Willingness to reside in Honduras and travel throughout Central America.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required facility credentials/authorizations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, gauges and testing equipment for aircraft systems.
• Experience operating hoists, forklifts and other ground support equipment.
• Knowledge of helicopter components: carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel and oil pumps, gearboxes, compressor bleed valves.
• Engine removal, disassembly, inspection for wear, cracks or defects, and re‑assembly.
• Ability to work in noisy, dirty shop environments and adhere to PPE and safety protocols.
