Collections Representative

About the role

The Collections Representative will join the corporate finance team in Tegucigalpa to manage delinquent accounts. You will contact customers by phone, email and written correspondence, negotiate payment plans, and ensure timely receipt of funds.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers via phone, email and written letters to follow up on overdue invoices.
• Negotiate and document payment plans and terms.
• Activate and manage customer accounts on the credit‑card payment portal.
• Assist customers with online payment setup and troubleshoot issues.
• Receive, process and accurately apply credit‑card payments to accounts.
• Communicate clearly about balances, payment options and deadlines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of interactions, agreements and related documentation.
• Generate regular reports on collection activities, payment trends and outstanding balances.
• Support general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing and document management.

Required profile

• Fluent oral and written English.
• Proficient with PC applications, especially Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organization and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment.
• Excellent conflict‑resolution and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn collections processes; no prior experience required.
