Database Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our team at the Zventus Altia Smart City location in San Pedro Sula. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases that support our data‑driven applications.

Key responsibilities

• Create tables, views, functions, stored procedures, schemas and data dictionaries to support ETL processes.
• Develop, maintain and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure performance and stability.
• Implement database changes based on end‑user requirements while preserving data quality and integrity.
• Analyse complex data problems, troubleshoot ETL issues and provide effective solutions.
• Document data mappings between source and target structures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2012 or later).
• Strong T‑SQL coding skills for complex views, procedures and functions.
• Experience importing data from text files, linked servers, APIs or web services.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, database design and performance tuning.
• Ability to analyse system inter‑dependencies and data structures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
