Senior Full Stack & Backend Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript) – Remote Latin America

About the role

Bluelight is seeking a senior full‑stack and backend engineer to join its fast‑growing consultancy. You will work remotely from Latin America, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, low‑latency applications for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain low‑latency API services on AWS.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party SDKs.
• Work with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row‑Level Security, raw SQL, and schema migrations.
• Contribute to frontend features using React when needed.
• Implement robust testing strategies, including integration and fault‑injection tests.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (AWS Fargate/ECS).
• Collaborate with AI coding assistants and ensure best‑practice adherence.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, backend‑focused.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to overlap US business hours and work autonomously with extreme ownership.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a positive, client‑focused attitude.
