Inventory Coordinator – Healthcare Supplies

About the role

The Inventory Coordinator ensures clinical teams have the supplies needed for exceptional patient care. Working on‑site in Honduras, you will manage inventory, coordinate purchases and shipments, and supervise the Inventory Assistant.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and support the Inventory Assistant, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ENVI, monitor stock levels and expiration dates, conduct physical counts and prevent shortages.
• Review purchase requests, obtain vendor quotes, manage supplier relationships and coordinate donated supplies.
• Receive and verify shipments, coordinate international containers and customs processes, and ensure proper storage and distribution.
• Forecast inventory needs with clinical and operational teams, support medical mission planning and report discrepancies and supply risks.
• Maintain organized storage areas and follow safety and compliance procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of inventory management experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, lead a team and collaborate across cultures.
• Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25 lb or more.
• Passion for service and global health.

Required skills

• Experience with inventory management systems; ENVI is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and SharePoint.
