Network Administrator

About the role

The Network Administrator reports to the IT Network Admin Sr. Manager and is responsible for operational, technical, and project support of Gildan’s telecommunications, networking, voice, data, and security services. The role ensures reliable performance, resolves equipment issues, and contributes to continuous improvement of the network environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality technical support and maintain strong customer service standards for telecommunications equipment and services.
• Analyze current network architecture, identify improvement opportunities, and support implementation of new business requirements.
• Perform capacity planning, monitor system performance, and prepare reports for telecommunications platforms.
• Contribute to business continuity planning by identifying risks and recommending recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to coordinate troubleshooting, service delivery, and project activities.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for voice, data, network, and security services across the organization.
• Participate in after‑hours support and on‑call rotation as required.
• Act as Level 3 support for Service Desk escalations related to telecommunications, networking, voice, data, and security services.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in telecommunications, networking or related infrastructure support.
• Cisco certifications (CCNP or CCIE Routing & Switching, CCNP Wireless, CCVP Voice, Cisco Firepower Firewall) are an asset.
• Knowledge of Silver Peak SD‑WAN, F5 technologies, Linux systems and scripting languages is considered an asset.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.
• Ability to travel to support local and regional sites and work flexible hours, including on‑call rotation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
