Senior Investment Associate – Corporates

About the role

IDB Invest, the private‑sector arm of the IDB Group, is seeking a Senior Investment Associate to support its Corporates Division in Honduras. The role combines corporate finance, project financing and development impact analysis within a multi‑regional structure.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial statements and build/adjust Excel financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
• Support regional team leaders in maintaining client relationships and identifying new business prospects.
• Assess credit quality and development impact of potential deals, conduct industry and market research, and contribute to business development.
• Coordinate transaction execution, including due diligence, structuring, and preparation of legal documentation.
• Work with development partners to manage environmental, social, technical and governance risks.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Masters, MBA or equivalent) in economics, finance, engineering or related field.
• At least 3‑5 years of experience in loan/investment origination, structured finance or corporate finance.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Eligibility to work in Honduras without sponsorship.
