Staff Backend Engineer – Python – Remote

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer with deep Python expertise to design and build backend services for products used by millions of collectors. This remote, hands‑on position lets you shape architecture, influence technical direction across projects, and stay close to the code.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services on AWS serverless infrastructure, including Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and API Gateway.
• Own end‑to‑end feature delivery from design through deployment, using microservices and event‑driven patterns.
• Containerize and orchestrate services with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Design data models for PostgreSQL and DynamoDB and create APIs for web and mobile applications.

Required profile

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Python proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS serverless services and event‑driven architecture.
• Background in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Advanced English communication skills.
