Car Leader

About the role

The Car Leader is responsible for ensuring the correct implementation of engineering systems across plants and programs. You will manage the Engineering manual, coordinate changes, and drive continuous improvement to support new product launches and production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering changes with zero impact on additional costs such as air‑freight, line stoppages, material issues, OBS, and LeadPrep validations.
• Launch new production lines achieving efficiencies >100% and installed capacity >115%.
• Administer and close tooling/equipment purchase orders for prototypes, pilots, engineering changes, and production improvements.
• Communicate, distribute and implement best practices and lessons learned for each release or change.
• Ensure 100% compliance with prototype and pilot shipments for new programs or model years.
• Lead weekly multidisciplinary follow‑up meetings and support plants in problem solving.
• Participate in cost‑reduction and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain timely planning activities according to engineering change management controls.

Required profile

• Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience at Lear Corporation as Lead Methods or Lead Product.
• Advanced English preferred.
