Cloud Data Platform Administrator

About the role

The Cloud Data Platform Administrator will manage and optimize Food For The Poor’s cloud‑based data platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability. This role works closely with data engineers, analytics teams, and IT leadership to support the organization’s data modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server and AWS RDS environments, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Manage Microsoft Fabric capacities, workspaces, security groups, and tenant settings, and support migration from legacy platforms.
• Implement governance, security, and compliance controls across cloud data services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, source control (GitHub), and automate operational tasks using PowerShell and cloud‑native tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience administering SQL Server and supporting cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.).
