Regulatory Affairs Specialist – Tegucigalpa

About the role

Cargill is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to ensure compliance with Honduran government regulations for animal nutrition products. The role supports product design, operations, and commercial teams while representing Cargill before regulatory agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the registration and management of sanitary permits for animal feed products with official health authorities, including follow‑up visits, payment handling, and legal documentation.
• Monitor regulatory changes, assess risks and opportunities, and support compliance for labeling, registration, permits, and licenses.
• Follow established procedures, laws, and regulations to mitigate business impact.
• Collect, analyse, and implement programs, processes, and documentation for all regulatory functions.
• Provide internal training and consultancy on complex regulatory and compliance matters.
• Independently resolve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating higher‑complexity problems as needed.
• Perform other assigned duties related to regulatory affairs.

Required profile

• Law degree (Licenciatura en Abogacía).
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in regulatory affairs and liaison with government entities in the food sector.
• Preferred: Minimum three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Power BI and SAP systems.
