HR Performance & Development Generalist

About the role

We are seeking an HR Performance & Development Generalist to join our growing team in San Pedro Sula. You will support the HR function across performance management, compensation, employee engagement, and health & safety initiatives, helping to drive a high‑performing culture.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in performance management cycles, compensation reviews, and engagement surveys.
• Advise department heads on employment matters, including policy interpretation, performance issues, terminations, training, and benefits.
• Develop and coordinate onboarding, payroll data collection, and probationary reviews.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and liaise with payroll.
• Conduct workplace investigations, manage discipline processes, and ensure consistent application of policies.
• Support health and safety programs, including inspections, drills, and meeting minutes.

Required profile

• Human Resources degree or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years of experience as an HR advisor or generalist.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
• Professional handling of confidential information with diplomacy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of all HR functions.
• Experience with HRIS administration.
• Understanding of federal/provincial labor legislation and health & safety regulations.
