Case Manager Assistant - Personal Injury (Remote, Honduras)
HireHawk
Job description
About the role
HireHawk connects professionals with U.S. and Canadian companies and offers this full-time remote position for a Case Manager Assistant in Personal Injury, based in Honduras. You will support the firm's Personal Injury Case Managers through the pre-litigation process, keeping treatment coordination, client communication and outstanding requests from becoming bottlenecks on a high-volume caseload. You work under your assigned Case Manager's direction and escalate concerns that need their judgment. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PST, paid $1,500-$1,600 per month.
Key responsibilities
- Track daily priorities and follow-ups so assigned pre-litigation cases move forward, and support Case Managers with outstanding action items.
- Keep English- and Spanish-speaking clients informed about case updates, medical appointments and treatment progress.
- Coordinate medical appointments, referrals, MRIs, injections and other treatments, and follow up on attendance and missed visits.
- Request medical records, billing statements and treatment updates from providers and keep case files complete.
- Follow up on insurance matters: policy searches, coverage verification and communication with insurance adjusters.
- Maintain accurate case notes and organized documentation in the firm's cloud-based case management system.
- Monitor pending tasks and unanswered requests, escalate concerns, and give the demand preparation team organized medical records, bills and insurance documentation.
- Keep case handoffs coordinated across Case Managers, attorneys, medical records staff and demand preparation personnel.
Required profile
- 1-3 years or more of hands-on U.S. personal injury case management experience; direct personal injury experience is required.
- Previous experience supporting California personal injury cases.
- Bilingual English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills and an empathetic approach to injured clients.
- Strong organization and follow-through, able to prioritize multiple cases and work remotely with minimal supervision.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of personal injury workflows, medical treatment coordination and insurance claims.
- Experience using legal case management software to keep accurate case notes, documents and follow-up tasks.
- Nice to have: pre-litigation experience with large caseloads, familiarity with Proposition 213, experience retrieving medical records and supporting demand preparation, and familiarity with cloud-based case management systems.
