Customer Service Representative

About the role

Charger Logistics Inc., an asset-based carrier with locations across North America and over 20 years of logistics experience, is looking for dynamic people to join its fast-paced Customer Service team. The position is full-time and permanent, with two schedule options: Monday to Friday with alternating weekends from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, or Friday to Monday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with customers by phone, email or fax and respond to their queries professionally and on time.
• Track and trace a large volume of customer orders.
• Enter, update and process customer orders on various interfaces.
• Ensure daily delivery schedules are met and that all required documentation is returned to head office accurately and on time.
• Handle client complaints, propose solutions and alternatives within time limits, and follow up until resolved.
• Confirm pickup and delivery appointments for drivers and communicate freight requirements and procedures to them so customers are fully informed.
• Research and resolve transactional problems so reporting is reconciled on time.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with the team and internal staff.

Required profile

• College diploma or bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is an asset.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and adapt to changing rules, regulations and procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Aptitude for learning new software and systems.
