Logistics Representative

About the role

Charger Logistics, an asset-based carrier handling dedicated loads, specialized hauls, temperature-controlled goods and HAZMAT cargo, is expanding and looking for a Logistics Representative based in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The role coordinates and optimizes delivery schedules by communicating with mobile units, monitoring situations by phone or radio, using mapping software to find the best routes and tracking the locations of mobile units. English fluency is a must.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in dispatch pending loads, schedule and dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver loads to and from customers.
• Coordinate and modify daily routes to meet customer needs, and communicate freight requirements and procedures to drivers.
• Monitor sudden route changes or road construction and set up new routes for timely deliveries.
• Help resolve problems with the team and other departments, assist drivers with routing directions and enforce safety procedures such as monitoring driver reports.
• Maintain high compliance with dispatch standards and operating procedures.
• Update customer web portals with load information and pull load forecasts from the system, updating drop and hook events.
• Analyze transportation planning opportunities to reduce costs and ensure the trailer pool is placed correctly to support customers.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in customer service roles; previous logistics and customer service experience is an asset.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is a must.
• Ability to solve problems, de-escalate conflicts and escalate tactfully.
• Strong time management, prioritization and multitasking.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Aptitude for learning new software and systems.

Two shifts are available: evening (Friday to Monday, 2:00 pm to midnight) and morning (Friday to Monday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm), both with Tuesday to Thursday off.
