Logistics Support Specialist

About the role

Charger Logistics, an asset-based carrier with locations across North America and over 20 years of logistics experience, is hiring a Logistics Support Specialist in San Pedro Sula. The position covers coordinating drivers for freight pickups and deliveries, monitoring shipments and keeping customers informed. Two shifts are available: afternoon shift Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (alternating weekends), and weekend shift Friday to Monday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers for freight pickups and deliveries, planning efficient routes.
• Monitor shipment progress and driver locations using communication tools and mapping software.
• Communicate with drivers and internal teams to ensure timely pickups, deliveries and operational updates.
• Provide customers with shipment status updates and help resolve freight-related issues.
• Adjust and optimize daily routes according to operational needs, traffic and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipment data by entering and updating load information in internal systems and customer portals.
• Assist drivers with routing guidance and ensure proper execution of freight procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve operational challenges and maintain service quality.
• Ensure compliance with dispatch procedures, operational standards and safety protocols.
• Analyze transportation planning opportunities to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree.
• Previous logistics or customer service experience is an asset.
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Ability to solve problems, de-escalate conflicts and escalate tactfully.
• Strong time management, prioritization and multitasking.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Aptitude to learn new software and systems.
