Full-time Missionary – Orphan Care in Honduras

About the role

Join a dedicated team serving orphaned and vulnerable children (ages 1‑18) at Good Shepherd Children’s Home, a residential facility set on 60+ acres in the mountains of Zamorano, Honduras. This full‑time missionary position is 100% support‑raised and focuses on nurturing children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with local Honduran staff to provide daily care, counseling, and life‑skill training for children.
• Assist in implementing Gospel‑based educational and discipleship programs.
• Support fundraising, budgeting, and financial reporting for the ministry.
• Host mission teams and coordinate international mission‑trip logistics.
• Contribute to a safe, loving environment through teamwork with caregivers, teachers, and security personnel.

Required profile

• Passionate commitment to serving children and a healthy spiritual community.
• Experience in orphan care, child counseling, or trauma‑informed ministry.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team.
• Willingness to embrace challenges of living and serving abroad.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Non‑profit or ministry fundraising experience.
• Basic budgeting, accounting, or financial management abilities.
